Presentation - Kuni Migimatsu (= Takakuni Migimatsu), a senior high school student of The Branson School, Ross, CA, was awarded the 2013 Scott Chase Fellowship, which is designed to promote intellectual and cultural growth and awareness among students over the summer. With the scholarship, Kuni did an internship at Saito Kobo, Tokyo, Japan, an electric wheelchair manufacturer. He worked with engineers to learn how electric wheelchairs are developed and was involved in donating used wheelchairs to developing countries.

Present: He is a graduate of the University of Redlands and currently works for Lockton Insurance Brokers in San Francisco.
He is a private pilot license holder who enjoys flying airplanes.

Toki (= Takatoki Migimatsu) and his Vivace team raised money for Japan Earthquake/Tsunami Relief. The tsunami caused by the magnitude 9.0 Tohoku earthquake on March 11, 2011 swept away thousands of people and uncountable number of homes, buildings, cities, towns and villages ...  

Toki's science journal - In April 2011, a high school junior student of The Branson School, Ross, CA, Takatoki Migimatsu received the prestigious "In Pursuit of Science" scholarship, awarded annually to a student who has demonstrated excellence in the field of science. He decided to use the scholarship to study robotics in Japan during the summer. Despite the fact that Japanese university education is not open to high school students for research, Takatoki was accepted as an intern by two university labs, one at Osaka University Graduate School of Engineering's Asada Laboratory and another at Tsukuba University Graduate School Systems and Information Engineering's Onisawa Laboratory. His science journey started from Osaka on June 22nd, 2011 ...

March 2012 - Toki was named as a finalist in the 57th annual National Merit Scholarship program for 2012. Congratulations!
He chose to study computer science at Stanford University.

He earned a BS (2016), MS (2018), and PhD (2022) in Computer Science specializing in AI/Robotics from Stanford University.
